What to know before you buy
- It stops at -10 °C, so it is not suitable for freezers.
This system monitors and alerts. It does not control your refrigeration or replace your system's own probe. It does not by itself deliver HACCP, EN 12830 or GDP compliance, and your food safety plan remains your responsibility. An alert needs a network, a power supply and someone to receive it, so test it when the system is installed.
Frequently asked questions
Is it suitable for a refrigerator?
Its range starts at -10 °C, so it measures chilled temperatures. For a refrigerator with a door, HW group recommends the 3 m Flat probe instead, as its flat cable passes under the seal.
Can it be exposed to water?
Yes. Its stainless steel housing is rated IP67, and HW group states that it can be immersed up to 1 m. It is designed for both indoor and outdoor use.
Which devices does it connect to?
It plugs in with an RJ11 connector. HW group designs it for its Poseidon, Ares, STE and Perseus ranges. Tell us which device you have and we will check compatibility before you order.
