Efento Cloud

Efento Cloud is the platform from the sensor manufacturer Efento. It receives the readings from your sensors, displays their status, sends alerts and prepares reports. The software and the SIM card are included for 5 years in our Efento packs.

All your sensors on one screen

The dashboard lists each sensor with its latest reading and its status. You can see at a glance which are in alarm, stopped or low on battery, and you can filter the list by name, serial number, measured variable or location.

Sensors are arranged in a tree that you structure to match your organisation: by country, city and shop, or by type of room. The logic stays the same for a shop with three fridges and for a chain of stores.

Graphs, floor plan and table

The same reading can be viewed in three ways, depending on the question you are asking.

  • Interactive temperature curve on Efento Cloud
The interactive graph: you choose the period and zoom in on a night or a weekend.
  • Floor plan of a site with sensors in normal state and in alarm
The floor plan: you upload a plan of your premises and place the sensors on it. The one with a problem stands out straight away.

Alert rules that match how you are organised

A rule combines a condition and an action. For example: if the temperature goes above 8 °C, send an SMS to the manager. There is no limit on the number of rules, and you can send alerts for one threshold to one person and alerts for a more serious threshold to another.

A rule can also simply log an event without alerting anyone, which suits a low battery. Each alert can then be acknowledged with a comment, so you keep a record of who saw it, when, and what was done.

Emails are at no extra cost. SMS messages require credit, priced on request.

Reports ready to file

You schedule a report for a selection of sensors, and it arrives by email at the frequency you choose, for example every Monday.

  • The PDF report cannot be edited. It shows the curves, the thresholds, the number and duration of breaches, the longest breach, and statistics such as mean kinetic temperature and standard deviation.
  • The CSV report lets you take the data into other software.

The mobile app

The free app, available on Google Play according to Efento, covers readings, alerts, rules, reports and user management. It is also used to configure the sensor over Bluetooth during setup.

Who sees what

There are three levels of rights. The administrator configures the system, the manager has access to the data and to certain settings such as alert rules, and the analyst views the data without changing anything. These rights can be limited to one site. All user actions are recorded in a log available to administrators.

If the network goes down

Communication is encrypted, and the data is stored in Dublin and Frankfurt. The sensor itself stores up to 100,000 readings and sends them to the platform when the connection returns, according to Efento.

Pharmacies and laboratories

Efento states that its platform meets GxP and 21 CFR Part 11 requirements, and provides a white paper and validation documents. This is a manufacturer's statement, not a certification: validating your quality system remains your responsibility.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a subscription to pay?

Not for 5 years: our Efento packs include the SIM card and the software for that period, and the sensor is yours to keep. Only SMS messages cost extra.

What happens after the 5 years?

The sensor remains your property. To extend the SIM card and the software, contact us before the end of the period.

Do we need to install anything?

No, nothing on a server. The platform opens in a web browser, and the NB-IoT sensor transmits directly, with no gateway or Wi-Fi.

Can Efento Cloud be connected to other software?

Yes. Efento offers a REST API and webhooks, and states that all the platform's functions are available through the API.
